Melva D. Speckman

Melva D. Speckman was born on November 16, 1923 in New Ulm, MN, the daughter of Henry and Martha (Blank) Prosch. Melva grew up in rural Nicollet. She married Delton Speckman on June 10, 1948 at the Evangelical Brethren Church in Nicollet, MN. After their marriage they farmed on the old Speckman Homestead Farm. Melva enjoyed quilting, reading, traveling on bus tours and wintering in Mission, TX. She was in the Martha Group at church, former Sunday School teacher and volunteered at the Blood Bank and Senior Citizens. She is survived by her daughter, Darla (Burton) Abraham of Apple Valley and step granddaughter, Dinah. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Delton in 1985 and a son in infancy.
