Maxine passed away at the family home in Dodge Center on October 23 after a lengthy illness. Maxine Paula Stafford was born October 23, 1941 in Dodge County . She grew up on a farm west of Dodge Center . She graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1959. On June 12, 1959 she married Stanley Salisbury, living in Blooming Prairie andOwatonna . They were later divorced. They had two children, Steven and Lisa. Maxine worked for the Central Coop in Owatonna and the Owatonna School District as Assistant Business Manager. She finished her career in the Wayzata School District where she retired in 1998. On March 3, 2001 she married James Ganske of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota . They resided there until Jim's death in March of 2004. Survivors include son, Steven (Leah) Salisbury of Badger, Iowa and daughter, Lisa Mitchell of Wylie , Texas and four stepchildren, Sherri Bahr, Jim Ganske Jr., Jerry Ganske , and Donn Ganske ; her parents, Kyle and Marian Stafford of Kasson; fourgrandchildren, Joshua and Kaitlyn Mitchell and Jacob and Stephanie Salisbury; two brothers, Marvin Stafford (Dee Dee ) of Dodge Center and Mark Stafford (Nancy) of Ramsey, Minnesota; and two sisters, Bonnie Henkel (Joe) of Austin, Texas and Betty Blood(Doug) of Springfield, Oregon, and eight loving nieces and nephews. Memorials are suggested to the Season's Hospice in Rochester , Minnesota or St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye.
