Maude Arnett, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Redding) Arnett was born on May 25, 1915, at Sanborn, MN. She received her education at a country school near her home. On May 21, 1944, Maude was united in marriage to Leonard Jack Rasmussen at Sanborn. They made their home in Washington DC while Jack served in the U.S. Army. Following his service they returned to Sanborn, and in 1949, they moved to Butterfield, MN. Shortly after Leonard's death on August 17, 1985, Maude moved to Mountain Lake,MN. In September 2004, she entered the Good Samaritan Village in Mountain Lake. Maude was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Butterfield and the Ladies VFW Auxillary. She loved to play games and spend time with her family. Maude died on Saturday, March 25, 2006, at the Good Samaritan Village in Mountain Lake. Maude is survived by three sons, Larry and his wife Barb Rasmussen of Mountain Lake, Dean and his wife Retha Rasmussen of Winnebago, and Darby and his wife Becky Rasmussen of St. Peter, MN; a foster daughter, Joann and her husband Randy Grondahl of Brainerd, MN; 11 grandchildren; four foster grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four foster great grandchidlren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six brothers; and three sisters.
