Mathias Trost

He was born November 14, 1920 in Sleepy Eye to Carl Johanna (Hirsch) Trost. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. On November 27, 1942, Mathias was united in marriage to Lenore Kittelson at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Wanda, MN. Matt worked for the Farmers Elevator in Sleepy Eye for several years. He later worked for Jack Laux Construction and Roman Weiss Construction and later as a partner with Delbert Kuester until he retired. Matt was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Matt enjoyed traveling, music and spending time with his family and grandsons, Mike, Matt, David, John, Paul and Mark Timm. Mathias Matt J. Trost, 86, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Sleepy Eye Care Center. He is survived by his wife, Lenore of Sleepy Eye, daughter, Barbara husband, Mike Timm of Rochester and niece, Kathleen Roberts of Nevis, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Fronie Wagner, half sister, Rose Zimansky and nephew, James Wagner.
