Mary Ann Myers

Mary Ann Tiell was born in St. James, MN, on January 25, 1945, the daughter of Gustave and Julia (Sandmeyer) Tiell. She grew up in St. James and graduated from St. James High School in 1963. She worked as an assistant cook at the high school for 3 years. She worked at Tony Downs for 6 months before moving to Mankato where she worked about a year before getting married. On April 1, 1967 she married Ronald Stusse the couple made their home in Trimont, where she worked in the hospital, until 1974 when they moved to Fairmont. Mary Ann worked at the Fairmont Hospital until 1991. Ron died in August 1976. On November 17, 1990, she married James Myers and they moved to Hart Lake, MN, where she worked at the Itasca Hospital until her retirement in 2002. Following her husband James' death in 2006, she moved to St. James in 2008. She enjoyed travelling, camping, crocheting, knitting, quilting and cooking. She loved her furry children (dogs). Mary Ann passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015, at the age of 70 years, at the Trimont Health Care Center in Trimont, MN. She is survived by her sisters, Margaret (William) Davis of St. James, Stephanie (Jerry) Daberkow of Lakefield, several nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews. She is preceded in death by 2 husbands, parents, sister Catherine (Jon) Oanes, and a brother Gustave Tiell.
