Mary Lux

Mary Stephanie Lux was born on December 19, 1924 in Sleepy Eye, MN, the daughter of Joseph and Stephanie (Schuelgl) Scherer. She married George J. Lux on September 17, 1946 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple lived north of Sleepy Eye on a farm until they retired in Sleepy Eye. Mary worked many years at Del Monte and the Orchid Inn. The last five years she spent at Prairie Senior Cottages in New Ulm. Mary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Red Hat's Society. She loved gardening and working in her flower beds. She is survived by her children, Douglas Lux of New Ulm, Audrey (Larry) Johnson of Marquette, MI, Gerald (Michelle) Lux of Sleepy Eye, 3 grandchildren, Jeffery, Krystal and Travis, 2 great grandchildren, Carter and Hayley and sister, Erna Scherer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George in 2012 and 2 brothers.
