Mary Konz

Mary Anna Konz was born on November 30, 1919 in Orient, SD to Joseph Anna (Wiesler) Gaspar. She married George Peter Konz in Polo, SD on June 11, 1940. They moved to Minnesota in 1940 during the Armistice Day blizzard and lived on the farm until moving to town. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Sleepy Eye. Mary enjoyed quilting, cards, fishing, gardening and surrounding herself with her 15 children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, John (Alyce) Konz of New Ulm, Leo V. Konz of St. Paul, Vincent (Sandy) Konz, Steve (Denise) Konz, Mark (Donna) Konz, Ronald (Ann) Konz, all of Sleepy Eye, daughters, Karen (Dennis) Sieve of Richfield, Bernice (Reed) Bolander of Lakeville, Marie (Bob) Mellum of New London, Sue (David) Warvin of Owatonna, Joan Rasmussen of New Ulm, Phyllis Augustin of Springfield, Pamela Konz of Sleepy Eye, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother, Harry Gasper, sisters, Florence Coyle, Magdalen Siemonsma and Leona Hawkins sister-in-law Fayola Gasper. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, son, Donald, daughter, Teresa, son-in-law, Kevin Augustin, brothers, Leo, Ray, Isadore and Mike and sister, Renata.
