There will be a parish prayer service at 7pm Thursday at the funeral home. Mary Rose Eischen was born May 6, 1936 on the farm near Leavenworth, MN, the daughter of Bartholomew Bert Mary Catherine (Holm) Windschitl. She grew up on a farm near Leavenworth and attended District 42 Country School and then Comfrey High School. Mary married Robert E. Eischen on June 1, 1957 at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield. Robert and Mary made their home in Sleepy Eye. Mary was a homemaker and worked at First Security Bank most recently. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, the Christian Mothers and CCW. Mary was a lifelong quilter and seamstress and created clothing for restored antique dolls for The Doll Buggy in New Ulm. Mary also enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and donating her handiwork for the St. Mary's Church Festival. She is survived by her children: Mary Lee Eischen (Robert Stuber) of Winona, Steve Eischen (Marie) of Willmar, Joan Hoffman (Dan) of New Ulm, Lori Knake (Mark) of New London, Robert J. Eischen Special friend Sue Kunerth of New Ulm, grandchildren: Amaliya Poppe, Andy Hoffman, Joey Hoffman, Jen Knake, Jared Eischen, Jessica Eischen, brother, Jerome Windschitl (Rita) of Comfrey and sister, Evelyn Eischen of Comfrey. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert, brother-in-law, Wilbert Eischen.
