Mary Conroy

Graveside Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 30, 2004 at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights, MN Mary W. (Diedrich) Conroy was born May 3, 1918 in Elk River, MN to John and Crescentia (Fisher) Diedrich. At the age of four, Mary moved with her family to St. James, MN. She attended schools in St. James where she graduated from high school. Following graduation Mary worked as a nurses aid at the St. James Hospital. In July of 1947 she married John Edward Conroy in Hugo, MN. That same year Mary and John moved to St. Paul, MN where she resided until 1999 when she moved back to St. James and became a resident at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center until the time of her death. Mary enjoyed reading, cooking and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Mary is survived by her children - daughter, Kathleen Langbehn and husband Gregory; sons, Charles Conroy and wife Linda J. of Inver Grove Heights, MN, and Daniel Conroy and wife Linda D. of Lake Elmo, MN; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Justin, Jayme, Traci, Thomas, and Tara; and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Christine Spitzner of St. James, and one sister-in-law, Agatha Diedrich of St. James. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 3 brothers, Lawrence, Edward, and Clarence Diedrich.
