Marvin LeRoy Regehr, the son of Londo and Sarah (Krause) Regehr, was born on October 27, 1945, in Mountain Lake, Minnesota and grew up on a small farm between Mountain Lake and Butterfield, with his six siblings. He attended school in Butterfield and graduated from Butterfield High School in 1964. On February 24, 1973, Marvin married the love of his life, Deloris Krahn at Evangelical Free Church in Windom, and they were blessed with three children, Doreen, Douglas, and Steven.
Marvin attended Bethel Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake in his early years, where he was baptized. He trusted in Jesus Christ as his Savior and was devoted to his faith. Later, he became a member of Cornerstone Bible Church, where he was actively involved and served as a Greeter for many years.
Marvin was always one to work hard and provide for his family. After farming with his dad, he worked at Balzer Manufacturing, at Glenn Harder Turkey Farm, and at Adrian's Turkey Farm, where he continued to work into his retirement. He also operated a side business for several years, which included snow blowing and mowing lawns in the community, as well as at the church and church cemetery.
He enjoyed being outdoors, working in the garden, doing word puzzles, and watching old TV shows and The Price Is Right. Marvin was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa who took very good care of his family. Even as his health declined, he faithfully served Deloris while at home and would call her several times a day during his time at the nursing home and hospital. He will be greatly missed.
Marvin is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Deloris Regehr of Mountain Lake; children, Doreen Regehr of Marshfield, WI, Douglas Regehr of Mountain Lake, and Steven Regehr of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Eli Regehr and Kinsey (Evan) Gronski; great-grandchildren, Peter and Caleb Gronski; siblings, Mary Franz, Ruby (Harvey) Ahrens, John (Sharlla) Regehr, Elsie Richardson, Donald (Christine) Regehr, and Ernest (Laurie) Regehr; and other relatives and long-time friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers-in-law, Merle Franz and James Richardson.
