Marlene Anne Conn

Marlene Anne Conn  age 82, of Saint James, MN died on August 26, 2023, at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center in Saint James, MN.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the United Methodist Church, Madelia. Service will be held at the United Methodist Church, Madelia, on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 1:00 pm.

The clergy will be Pastor Lyla Klee. Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Madelia, MN.

Marlene Anne Oates was born on July 9, 1941, the daughter of Roland and Agnes in Madelia, MN. She attended and graduated from Madelia High School. On September 11, 1960, Marlene was united in marriage to Vurley Conn in Madelia, MN. Marlene babysat for many families in Madelia throughout the years in addition to raising her 3 sons. She made birthday and Christmas cards, wrote to many pen pals and enjoyed her computer. Marlene will always be remembered for her prized collection of anything and everything Elvis.

Marlene is survived by her sons - Rick (Tami) Conn, Daniel Conn, and Steven Conn all of St. James; grandkids - Joshua Conn, Matthew (Jennie) Conn, Elizabeth (Valentin) Torres, Chelsey Conn, Daniel Conn, Brandi (fiancé, Lee Harberts) Conn; 7 great-grandkids with 2 on the way; sister, Susan Marka of New Ulm and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vurley; parents, Roland and Agnes Oates; sisters, Donna (Dick) Hagen, Mary Lou (Dennis) Jensen; brother-in-law, Frank Marka and nephew, Jack Dennis.
