Marjorie Sandmann

Marjorie "Marge" Schwint Sandmann was born in Mallard, IA to Frank Theo (Stowell) Schwint on January 16, 1924. They moved to Evan, MN in 1929. Then to Sleepy Eye where she graduated Sleepy Eye Public School in 1942. She worked at Broich Grocery, Robert's Insurance and Moorman's Manufacturing until she retired. She married Ivan Sandmann on August 7, 1944 in Morgan and has lived in Sleepy Eye since. They had two sons, Ronald and Michael. Marge enjoyed playing cards, knitting, fishing, baking Christmas cookies and volunteering at the Red Cross Blood Bank. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Women's Group, VFW and American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived her son, Michael (Judy) of Franklin, grandchildren, Teresa (Dan) Hench, Brent (Jody), great grandchildren, Zachary and Lucas Hench, special friends, Tom Joyce Roberts, brother, Robert (Eunice) Schwindt and nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ivan, son, Ronald, sisters, Francis Feig, Hazel Ebelsisor, Grace Volker and in-laws.
