Marjorie Evelyn Reddemann

July 3, 1935 — April 29, 2018

Marjorie Evelyn Reddemann was born to Hilmer and Evelyn (Odegard) Brekke on July 3, 1935, in St. James, Minnesota. She was involved in 4-H and graduated from St. James High School. After graduation, she moved to New Ulm where she worked for the New Ulm Journal. On Valentine's Day 1956 she met the love of her life, Leonard Edwin Reddemann of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. They were married in the Albion Lutheran Church on October 6, 1956. Together they had five children. Marjorie and Leonard ran a trucking business out of Sleepy Eye and Hanska Minnesota. They also organized a little league baseball team in Prairieville Township. In 1986, they moved to Springfield, Minnesota where Marjorie and her mother dedicated their time to a flower garden, a passion Marjorie continued until her death. Marjorie was known for her quick wit, great sense of humor, superior cooking skills, and dedication to her family. She was an avid Minnesota sports fan. She was also known for many years as Mrs. Claus at shopping malls throughout the state. Marjorie is survived by husband, Leonard; one brother, Eugene (Peggy) Brekke; three children, Janelle (John) Carotenuto, Daniel (Jackie) Reddemann, and Debra (Mark) Carstensen; and seven grandchildren: Brian (MaryAnn) Reddemann, David Smith, Brandee (Sean) Harral, Heather (Grant) Romberg, Lindsey (Timothy)·Mages, Alexandra (Brandon) McDonough, and Amanda Carstensen (Jon Sievert). She also has nineteen great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Delores (Chuck) Menk. She is preceded in death by her parents and by two children, Dean and Kathie.
