Marjorie Lois 'Marge' Gerber

Marjorie Gerber of Madelia, Minnesota, passed away Sunday April 14th at 3:33pm at the age of eighty. She was married to the late Robert Gerber. She was dearly devoted to her partner of thirty-five years, David Knutson. Prior to living in Madelia, she lived in Mankato, Minnesota for several years. Marge graduated from St. Joseph grade school and St. Catherine's High School in Racine, WI. She later worked at S.C. Johnson and Son, Inc. "Marge", as she was affectionately called, was a humble person and a good listener who cared about others. She especially loved visiting with her family and friends. Son David said, "She was always there for us!" She also enjoyed lighthouses and listening to music. Marge was devoted to her children, David, Joe, Chris, and Jim and her grandchildren, including: Tonya, Justin, Travis, Joe, Jessica, Abby, and Jacob, and also her great-grandchildren: Auria, Vivian, (and soon to be born George), and Astrid Michelle. David Knutson's children and grandchildren also considered her their mother and grandmother, and include Heather, Joseph, Roger and Annette. She has many nieces and nephews. Marge was born in Racine, Wisconsin to Norbert and Vivian Bohn who preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Don and his wife, Mary Ann Bohn; twin sister, Mardell, and her husband, Edwin, Danowski, and sister Bobbi Kilmer.
