Marjorie Jane Allen

Marjorie Jane Allen was born July 26, 1937, in Sleepy Eye, MN to Alfred and Doris (Petersen) Fritz. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School and was united in marriage to Lynn Allen on October 28, 1961, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple moved to Springfield where they raised their family. Marj was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, knitting, bowling, playing bingo, fishing and camping. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Marjorie Jane Allen died Thursday, May 12, 2016, in Mankato at the age of 78 years. She is survived by daughters- Carla Allen of Mapleton, and Kay and husband Brad Schultz of St. Clair; son Brett Allen of North Mankato; grandchildren- Alexis Buehler, Breanna Schultz, Brandon Schultz, and Travis Allen; great-granddaughter Carmen; and brother Ralph 'RJ' Fritz. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lynn in 1996; daughter Janeen in 2013; and daughter-in-law Jan.
