Marion Lentz

Marion Stella Lentz was born August 31, 1927 in Gibbon, MN, the daughter of Michael and Emma (Gupzke) Walter. She graduated from Gibbon High School and was united in marriage to Leigh Lentz on April 21, 1947. Marion worked as a waitress, a cashier at Runnings of Redwood Falls, and at Jackpot Junction. She was one of the first residents of Seasons Hospice Center in Redwood Falls and said they provided excellent care and babied her. Marion said she didn't know how she got so lucky to be able to livethere. She enjoyed painting, quilting, going to toy shows, watching the Twins, her flowers, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Marion Stella Lentz died Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Seasons Hospice Center in Redwood Falls at the age of 77 years. Survivors include sons- Rick and special friend Beverly of Rochester, Gary and wife Katie of Rochester, and Alan of Redwood Falls; daughter- Maralee and husband Mike Drellack of Alexandria, MN; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law- Ione Lentz of Florida; and brother- Dennis Walter of Farmington, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leigh in November of 2003; sons- Michael in September of 1987, and Kevin in September of 2003; sisters- Lucille Uchanski, Joan Burdorfand Joan Walter; and brothers- Larry and Jerome.
