Marilyn Alice Fast

Marilyn Alice (Fuller) Fast, 89, of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, passed away on December 29, 2020, on the farm (OTF). Private family graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the Voth Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Merwin Dick, pastor from The Lakeview Gospel Church in Mountain Lake will officiate. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Mtn. Lake, Minnesota. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com. Marilyn was born in Mountain Lake on December 16, 1931, to Orlando and Kathryn (Klaassen) Fuller. She attended Mountain Lake High School and Mankato State University. She earned her teaching degree and taught 3rd grade at Jackson Elementary in Jackson, MN. She married Ervin Fast on June 5, 1956, at Bethel Mennonite Church. She enjoyed baking and cooking for her family. She was very interested in family history. She enjoyed reading and whatever her kids and grandkids were doing. (Great grandkids were just getting connected by face times and pictures.) She was someone who loved music; band, piano, marching band, choir, and ensembles and the Hallelujah Chorus was her favorite. Marilyn is survived by her children, Ruth (Brent) Weckwerth of Richland Center, Wl, Thomas (Marilyn) of Bingham Lake, MN, Charles (Suzanne) and Rodney (Sheryl) Fast of Mountain Lake MN, sister Beth (Jerry) Hoem of Maple Lake, MN and brother, Paul (Arlene) Fuller of Maple Grove; Grandchildren: Katie (Dan) Vick, Christopher, Jeremy, Chelsey (Patrick) Janzen, Mitchell (Emily), Karina (Adam) Bryant, Josh, Katelyn, Andrew, Aaron, and Anika, Great grandchildren: Mason, Madelyn, Charlie Janzen and Clara Vick ,and many nieces and nephews, and extended family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ervin, her parents, and brothers, Warren and Edgar Fuller and sisters, JoAnn Bergley and Kay Hirschler. Memorial donations may be made to the family at Ruth Weckwerth, 20464 Hidden Valley Rd, Richland Center, Wl 53581 . Memorials will be divided between Marilyn's favorite charities and the caregivers who helped her during the last years of her life.
