Marie Isaacson

Marie Alberta Lippold was born April 6, 1932 at Des Moines, IA, to parents Fredrick and Maria (Reilly) Lippold. Marie graduated from Ringsted High School in Ringsted, IA. She was then united in marriage to Ken Isaacson on March 23, 1950 at Estherville, IA. They made their home in Swea City, IA. Marie worked in the retail clothing business in Marshall, MN, Huron, SD and in St. James where she owned the Villager clothing store. Marie enjoyed gardening, reading, doing puzzles and visiting with friends. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Eagles, VFW Aux., and American Legion Aux. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons James and Joedy, and a brother Lewis. She is survived by her son, Dan (Deb) Isaacson of Jackson, daughter, Debra (Gary) Mattke of Huron, SD, daughter-in-law, Diane Isaacson of St. James, grandchildren, Stephanie Isaacson, Sandra (Richard) Milton, Travis (Jamie) Hendel, Christopher (Kristi) Mattke, Jared (Kara) Mattke, Shannon (Andy) Johnson, 11 great-grandchildren and a special friend and companion Fritz Connell of St. James.
