Marie Cullen

Marie (Taylor) Cullen was born July 9, 1911 to Karl and Fannie ( Herr) Taylor in Perry, Iowa. The family moved to Minnesota when Marie was eight years old. She attended school in Comfrey, MN and graduated in 1928. She attended teacher's college at Mankato and taught for four years. On June 23, 1933, Marie married Bernard Cullen and they had four children - Richard, Carol, Thomas, and James. Marie liked the profession of nursing and worked for the Comfrey Hospital for a number of years. When Marie's husband, Bernard, died in 1968, she moved to Lamberton and worked at Valley View Manor for 25 years. She is survived by children - Carol (Jim) Kluegel of Spicer, Tom (Karol) of Shakopee, Jim (Carrie) of Lakeville; 16 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and brother Kenneth. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; sister Thelma; brother Robert; and son Richard.
