Marian Wolle

Marian Elizabeth Zoeller was born Feb. 20, 1926 at the farm east of Fairmont the daughter of John Mary (Eggers) Zoeller. She was baptized March 21, 1926 and later confirmed Sept. 24, 1939. Marian graduated from Truman High School and Mankato Teachers College. She taught rural school for 2 years and 3 years at Fairmont Public School. On June 18, 1950, she was united in marriage to Harold Wolle, the couple made their home on a farm near Lewisville and later moved to the farm where Harold was born. Forty nine years later they moved to St. James. They enjoyed spending winters in Largo, Florida for many years. They also enjoyed traveling and golf. She also enjoyed oil painting and playing bridge, where she became a Bronze Life Master. She was active in Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School at Trinity Lutheran Church Fieldon. She loved being with her family, husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marian is survived by her husband; Harold of St. James, children; Susan (Steve) Shankland of Charles City, IA, Harold John, Jr. (Jane) Wolle of St. James, Barb (Elger) Lorenzsonn of Stillwater, Linda Rasmussen of Bemidji, Nancy (Tom) Balfanz of St. Cloud, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brothers; Robert (Elaine) Zoeller of Granada, Harold (Ramona) Zoeller of Foreston, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister; Frances Strauser, son-in-law; Dave Rasmussen.
