Marian Augusta Kremmin was born September 27, 1931, to Otto and Minnie (Gerdes) Kremmin in Carson Township, MN. She attended country school District 80 West through 8th grade and later graduated from Mountain Lake High School. On August 16, 1957, she married Kenneth "Joe" Fredin. A dedicated mother and grandmother, Marian found great joy in nurturing her family. Known for her exceptional cooking and baking, she was famous for preparing the best field lunches and cookies, ensuring that everyone felt welcomed. Her love extended to her grandchildren, for whom she tirelessly prepared meals and actively supported in all their endeavors, attending their events near and far.

Marian was an avid card player, board game enthusiast, and puzzle solver. Despite facing the challenges of failing eyesight, she maintained her love for sports, proudly following the Minnesota Twins, Timberwolves, Lynx, and Vikings. She also cared for many family pets including dogs, both indoor and farm cats; she found great joy and connection in these animal souls. Her dedication was evident in her care of the family farm, where she worked alongside her husband, managing the fields, tending to the garden, and yard.

Marian was a life long member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake and was confirmed in her faith on March 25th, 1945. She volunteered in the church in many capacities, serving on many guilds and committees over the years. Marian lived a life rich in love, service, and devotion to her family and community.
