Margaret attended country school near Sexton and in 1941 she moved with her family to Corwith, IA and was confirmed at St Johns Lutheran Church in 1944. In 1945, the family moved to Mason City, IA and Margaret graduated from Mason City High School in 1946. Margaret enjoyed doing hardanger projects, quilting, puzzles, gardening, and reading. She went for coffee with a large group of friends nearly every day in retirement - she always liked being around people. She served in various church committees, volunteered at the Luther Memorial Home (now Living Meadows) calling Bingo. Margaret was also a part of Kraft retirees' group.
