Margie was born on October 9, 1947, to Louis and Helen (Nachreiner) Mathiowetz in Sleepy Eye, MN. Margie grew up in Leavenworth and attended the School of Japanese Martyrs before transferring to Sleepy Eye St. Mary's, where she graduated in 1965.

On May 3, 1969, Margie married her high school sweetheart, Leonard Seidl, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in love, faith, and family. Together they raised five children: Jason, Barbara, Tricia, Andrew, and Steven.

Over the years, Margie worked at First Security State Bank, provided in-home day care, St. Mary's Day Care, and later at Lake Villa Maria Assisted Living. Throughout, Margie was a devoted homemaker, known for keeping an incredibly tidy home, and creating a warm, loving space for family and friends. But the "jobs' she loved the most were wife, mother, and grandmother, for which the return on her investment is endless.

Margie loved baking, cooking for her family from her famous 'dump and pour' recipes, tending to her flowers and garden, sewing and quilting, bowling, playing Bingo, attending her grandchildren's activities, doing cryptoquotes and Sudoku, watching Wheel of Fortune, and enjoyed spending time at the lake with the family. She had an artistic gift that she wove into almost anything she touched, creating special projects, keepsakes, and memories along the way.

Margie was deeply involved in her community and active in her faith. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Divine Auxiliary, Catholic United Financial, Christian Mothers, Council of Catholic Women, Cub Scout Den Mother, Boating and Bobbers, and Meals on Wheels. Her dedication, generosity, and steady presence touched many lives.

Margie was blessed with 11 grandchildren whom she adored. Her kindness, humor, and gentle spirit will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.

Margie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Leonard; children: Jason (Joleen), Barbara (Dennis) Schreier, Tricia (Jason) Tauer, Andrew (Andrea), and Steven (Nola); grandchildren: Joshua, Megan, Kyle, Matthew, Ethan, Colin, Gavin, Leo, Louis, Alvin, and Linus; sisters: Lucy Moldaschel and Alice Wellman; sister-in-law, Pat Mathiowetz; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mary Catherine Bauer, Maggie Bauer, Monica (Dick) Mueller, Rosanne (Jerry) Fix, Judy Seidl, Marcia (Dave) Ward, Mark (Peggy) Seidl, Myron (Cathy) Seidl, and Maurice (Brenda) Seidl. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law: James and Dorothy Mathiowetz; brother: Vince Mathiowetz; nephew: Rick Wellman; mother and father-in-law: Leonard and Leona Seidl; and in-laws: Chuck Moldaschel, Chuck Wellman, Stanley Bauer, Dennis and Mildred Rosenhammer, Larry Bauer, and Mike Seidl.
