Margaret Ann Goeser 83, of St. James, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Saturday, July, 30, 2016. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Denis, of 36 years along with her parents, Margaret and Herman Schmidt, brother Paul Schmidt, mother and father in-law Leo and Clara Goeser, brother and sister in-laws, Geraldine and Omer Tholkes and Thomas and Janis Dawley. She is survived by her two children Denise (Michael) Wible of Powell, Ohio and Kimberly (Jonathan) Goeser Hergott, of Bloomington, MN. She is also survived by grandchildren Sophia and Phillip Wible. Additionally she is survived by her brother Bradley (Cleo) Schmidt, sister in-law Donna Schmidt, of St. James, MN, Bonnie (Gilmore) Braaten of Devil's Lake, ND and Phyllis (Jim) Allen of Audubon, MN. Margaret Ann was born in St. James, MN on June 24, 1933 to parents Margaret and Herman Schmidt. After graduating from high School in 1951, Margaret Ann went on to attend the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN where she received a B.S. in Dietetics and Nutrition. Her career as a registered dietitian at St. Joesph's Hospital in St. Paul, MN, afforded her the opportunity to meet the soul mate and love of her life Denis Goeser. They married on June 22, 1963 and relocated to Calio, North Dakota where she began the next chapter of her life as loving wife and attentive mother. Denis, Margaret Ann and family would later move to St. James where she and Denis would raise their children and spend the remainder of their lives together. Margaret Ann's deeply rooted faith in God was reflected in her words and actions. She spent countless hours as a volunteer at the St. James Catholic Church, serving God and her faith community. Her unfaltering faith guided her through difficult times and was ever present as she left this physical world. Margaret Ann will be ever present in the hearts of those who had the opportunity to know her. We will love and cherish her memory always. Donations in her memory provided to the Alzheimer's Association for research for a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
