Margaret Furth

Margaret A. (Puhlmann) Furth, age 90 of Lamberton, died Monday, September 7, 2015, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton. She was born January 27, 1925 in New Ulm to Alfred and Louise (Schramm ) Puhlmann. Margaret graduated in 1943 from New Ulm Public School. She married John Furth at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm on June 17, 1946. The couple lived in New Ulm and Comfrey before moving to Lamberton in 1959. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lamberton, Lamberton Legion Auxiliary and Turner Ladies in New Ulm. Margaret worked at Rue's Grocery Store and Lamberton Meats for many years. She loved old time music, going to the lake, gardening, visiting with family and friends and sharing stories. Surviving Margaret are her sons: Michael Furth of Rush City, Peter and wife Sharon Furth of Lamberton, William and wife Eileen Furth of New Ulm, Charles and wife Deb Furth of Lamberton, and James Furth of Lamberton; grandchildren Michael Furth, Alfred Furth and wife Heidi, Amanda Furth, Katie Furth, Sam Furth, Tim Furth and wife Shannon, Abby Furth, Aaron Furth; great grandchildren Mason, Marcus, Georgia and Eleanor Furth; brothers-in-law Herbert and wife Mary Furth of Green Valley, Arizona and Tom and wife Diane Furth of San Diego,California; sister-in-law Kris (Furth) Neufeldt of Auburn, New York; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, mother and father-in-law Ted and Eleanor Furth, brother Jim and his wife Marie Puhlmann; brothers-in-law James and wife Ruth Furth, John Neufeldt; sister-in-law Marie (Furth) and husband Robert Miller.
