Marcella Reuter

Marcella Marie Probst was born October 21, 1924, at Wilmont, MN, the daughter of Paul Frances (Broich) Probst. Marcella grew up in Wilmont where she attended school through the ninth grade. On April 2, 1945, she was united in marriage to Peter Reuter in Wilmont. The couple made their home and farmed NW of Lismore where they raised their 9 children. Marcella loved living on the farm and raising her family. She was active in the farming operation, she drove tractor and tended to the animals along side Peter. She tended the family garden, along with the children, grew many vegetables and fruits and many beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting. In later years she enjoyed crossword puzzles. Marcella was active in her church, she served on church council, was a communion minister, and enjoyed participating in circle. She also enjoyed belonging to several card clubs and her ceramic group. Her family meant the most to her she loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and all the time spent together. Marcella is survived by her husband of 69 years; Peter Reuter of St. James, children; Ken (Sue) Reuter of Sioux Falls, Karen (Jim) Guentzel of New Prague, Paulette (Art) Posch of Santa Barbara, CA, Mary Lou Reuter of Gloucester, MA, Jerry (Lois) Reuter of Minnetonka, Bob (Becki) Reuter of St. James, Chuck Reuter of Inver Grove Heights, Steve Reuter of Bloomington, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, brothers; Ed (Marge) Probst of New Richmand, WI, Tom (Elaine) Probst of Fulda, sister; Esther Reuter of Luverne, and a great-aunt; Helen Spartz of Remer, MN. She is preceded in death by her daughter Melissa "Missy" Wittry, parents, sister and brother-in-law Leona Ralph Furstenberg, and brother Chuck Probst and brother-in-law; Lornie Reuter.
