Marcella Buddensiek

Marcella 'Marcie' M. Buddensiek was born May 31, 1929, in Burnstown Township, Brown County, the daughter of Ted and Ann (Lang) Fischer. She attended two years of country school, then attended St. Raphael's School before graduating from Springfield High School in 1947. Marcie was united in marriage to Roland 'Rolly' Buddensiek on June 16, 1953, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church. She worked at the Springfield Telephone Office for over 26 years. Marcie was a lifetime member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and a member of the CCW. She loved her flower garden, cooking, and baking zucchini bread. Marcie especially enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and special neighbors. Marcie M. Buddensiek died Thursday, January 18, 2007, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato at the age of 77 years. She is survived by her children- Karen and Russ Voge of Springfield, Calvin and Dawn Buddensiek of Springfield, and Steve and Jamie Buddensiek of Las Vegas, NV;grandchildren- Jared and Heather Voge, Krista and Brent Bast, Nicole and Jeremy Goodroad, Sara and Brent Lang, Melissa Buddensiek, and Joseph and Peter Buddensiek; great grandchild- Noah Goodroad; sister- Cyrilla and Jim Turbes; special friends/relatives- Connie Augustin, Dotty DeLambert, and Mary Hoffmann; brother-in-law- Mel and Sally Buddensiek; sisters-in-law- Edith King and Erma Colburn; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband- Rolly in 1993.
