Lyle John Kubly

Lyle John Kubly, age 67, of Lewisville, died on August 27, 2023, at Pleasant View, Good Samaritan Society in St. James.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Sturm Funeral Home, St. James Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at the St. James Catholic Church in St. James on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:00 am. The clergy will be Fr. Timothy Hall. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in St. James.

Lyle was born April 10, 1956, to Orville and Adeline (Haler) Kubly in Madelia, Minnesota. He graduated from St. James High School in 1975. Lyle worked many agricultural jobs over the years, most recently as a herdsman for the Geistfield brothers. In his free time, Lyle enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting pool.

Lyle is survived by his brothers, Duane, Glenn, and Ralph; niece, Abigail Badten; nephew, Brandon Kubly; and great nephews, Benjamin and Henry Badten.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and Virgil; and great nephew, Nathan.
