Lucille Sellner

Lucille S. Sellner, age 98, died on October 25, 2013 surrounded by her family at the Sleepy Eye Care Center. Lucille was born on October 13, 1915 in Leavenworth, MN, the daughter of Anton and Sophie (Meidl) Hornick. She spent her life working and enjoying her family, taking walks to see her mother, walking downtown to do errands or working in her flower or vegetable gardens. Lucille was very devoted in her faith and serving in her parish. She married Rudolph J. Sellner on April 28, 1936 at the Church of the Japanese Martyrs in Leavenworth. Lucille spent the rest of her life in Sleepy Eye. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. She is survived by children, Joan Richert of Sleepy Eye, James (Val) Sellner of Sleepy Eye, Dennis C. (Elaine) Sellner of Wells, daughters-in-law, Judy Sellner of Sleepy Eye, Phyllis Sellner of Kasota and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rudy, sons, Ronald and Charles, son-in-law, Don Richert, granddaughter, Emily Richert and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
