Lucille Florence Sandmann was born May 14, 1917 in Prairieville Township, Brown County, the daughter of Emil and Emma (Siebel) Rose. She grew up in Brookville Township and moved to Eden Township following her marriage to Roy Sandmann on September 23, 1938. The couple moved to Morgan in 1981. Lucille was a lifetime member of the Morgan United Methodist Church and was a member of the U.M.W. and Rachael Circle. She was also a member of the Eden Homemakers Club and enjoyed cross-stitch, quilting,crocheting, fishing, and loved spending time with her family. Lucille Florence Sandmann died Saturday, December 11, 2004 at Gil Mor Manor in Morgan at the age of 87 years. Survivors include daughters- Ramona Vestman of Denver, CO, Jean and husband Curtis Christensen of Morgan, Sally and husband Mervin (Butch) Kerkhoff of Redwood Falls, and Janet and husband Ron Stokesbary of St. Louis Park, MN; son- Lee and wife Denise Sandmann of St. Croix Falls, WI; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law- Laura Rose and Myrtle Rose of Morgan, and Clara Sandmann of New Ulm; and brother-in-law- Ivan and wife Marge Sandmann of Sleepy Eye. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband- Roy in 1995; brothers- George, Marvin and Wilbert; and sisters- Verna Kieper and Mildred Rose.
