Lucille C. Garland was born October 23, 1913 in Irwin, IL, the daughter of Ephram and Marie Ange (Vigneault) Frechette. She married Patrick Garland on January 7, 1937 in Tracy, MN. Lucille lived in Springfield from 1943 until February 2008 when she moved to the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm. She was a member of the St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield. Lucille enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting, especially making doilies. Lucille died on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the New Ulm Medical Center at the age of 94 years. She is survived by her children - James and his wife Christine of Copperas Cove, TX, Mary Bean and her husband David of Sacramento, CA, Rose and her husband Pete Pederson of Rosenberg, TX, Charlotte Bendickson of Minnetonka, MN, and Robert and his wife Dawn of New Ulm, MN; 22 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a brother Louis and his wife Arlene Frechette of Tracy; and a sister-in-law - Marie Frechette of Sleepy Eye. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Patrick in October of 1980; 3 grandsons; a brother - Andre; and sisters - Jeanette and Irene.
