Lowell Petty

Lowell Petty age 54, of Eyota, Minnesota died on Monday, February 18, 2019, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. A memorial gathering will be held at the Sturm Funeral Home, St. James, on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 1:00 pm. - 3:00 pm. Lowell Todd Petty was born January 30, 1965 in Worthington, MN, the son of Chell Rex and Sandra Kay (Penoyer) Petty. Lowell spent his early years growing up in Mound and then Butterfield where he graduated in 1983 from Butterfield/Odin High School. Lowell joined the National Guard and worked at Butterfield Foods and the families salvage yard. On July 2, 1994, he married Lisa Engelbrecht in St. James. They made their home in Ohio for several years before moving to Iowa in 2000 and then to Eyota, Minnesota. Lowell was a manager for Kemps in Rochester. Lowell enjoyed racing cars, vacations on his motorcycle, target shooting at the range and playing his bass guitar at church. He is survived by his wife Lisa Petty of Eyota, children, Stephanie Petty of Windom, Logan (Helena Brockert) Petty of Muscatine, IA, Zoey (Courtney) Petty of Eyota, grandchildren, Demian, Natalia, Leon, Jacob, and Chell, and his brother, Andrew (Katherine) Petty of Butterfield.
