Lorraine Olson

Lorraine Olson, age 82, went to be with her Savior on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia. Lorraine Ethel Kerns was born on January 31, 1929, at Eaglr Lake, MN, the daughter of Kenneth and Ester (Johnson) Kerns. Lorraine grew up in Eagle Lake where attended school. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1948. She married John Olson and the couple had two sons. Lorraine worked for BF Goodrich-Panastone-Holm Industries for 33 years before retiring in 1993. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Butternut where she taught Sunday School and belonged to the women's circles. Lorraine enjoyed baking cakes for weddings, graduations, conformations and birthdays. She also like to do crossword puzzles and word find puzzles. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband John, son Jerald, parents Kenneth and Ester, three brothers Harold, Clayton and George. She is survived by her son Larry Olson of Madelia, 7 grandchildren Paul Olson (Keran) of Walnut Grove, Jeff Olson of Lake Crystal, Mark Olson (Nissa) of Mankato, Chad Olson (Jodi) of Milroy, Eric Olson of Orlando Florida, Clete Olson of Sleepy Eye, Paula Olson of North Mankato, 10 great-grandchildren and other relatives (In laws) Barb Kerns of Faribault, Ann Kerns of Mapleton, Myron Olson of Madelia, Lavonne Olson of Madelia, and Oscar (Dorthy) Olson of Madelia.
