Lorraine Munsterman

Lorraine Munsterman, 99, of Saint James, died April 19, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Society in Saint James.

 A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 11:00am, at Saint Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Saint James with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at the Butterfield City Cemetery. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Saint James. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.

Lorraine Augusta Maria Dannhoff was born June 1, 1926, to Gustav and Amanda (Engel) Dannhoff in South Branch Township. She was baptized June 21, 1926, at St. John's Lutheran Church in South Branch and was confirmed there on March 17, 1940. Lorraine married Elmer Munsterman on February 10, 1948. Together they had five children.

Lorraine helped Elmer on the farm. She taught Sunday school and was the church organist for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, playing piano, and painting.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Carol Daniels of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Linda (Dave) Zea of Rochester, John (Janelle) Munsterman of Saint James, Jeanne Gunderson of Bloomington, and Eileen Beireis of Eden Prairie; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brother, Clarence Dannhoff; brothers-in-law, Lyle Munsterman and Jerry (Vonnie) Munsterman; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer in 2004; sisters, Alma (Ernie) Eck and Della (Ben) Kehr; and many in-laws.
