Lorna Erdine Havemeier was born on a farm Northeast of Fairfax, MN on December 11, 1931 to Alfred & Ruth (Kiecker) Sell. She was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church near Fairfax. On November 1, 1949 Lorna married Clarence Havemeier at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm, MN. The couple moved to Sleepy Eye in 1957 and Mulligan Township in 1961. She loved reading, sewing, canning, quilting with friends, polka music and dances. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Lorna is survived by her children, Laurie (Wes) Helget of Sleepy Eye, Karlynn (Steve) Gurtin of Centerville, MN, Michelle (Jerry) Lux of Sleepy Eye, Lonnie (Linda) Havemeier of Darwin, MN, Ronald Havemeier of Sleepy Eye, 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, sister, Orpha Lendt, brothers, Murnice (Glennys) Sell and Norman (Darleen) Sell, and sisters-in-law, Betty Buboltz of Hutchinson, Vercille (Dale) Class of New Ulm, Burnell (Ed) Osberg of Courtland, Burnett (Frank) Pearse of New Ulm, Bonnie Havemeier of Cokato and Margaret Havemeier of Lakeville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence, mother and father-in-law, Mary and Paul, daughter, Karlene, sons, Leon and Burton and daughter-in-law, Shannon Havemeier.
