Loretta Kieper

Loretta Bertha Kieper was born April 29, 1912, in Wabasso, MN, the daughter of Conrad and Minnie (Holznagel) Haak. She attended school in Sanborn and was united in marriage to Rudolph 'Mike' Kieper on January 13, 1934, in Springfield. Loretta lived in Sanborn for most of her life before moving to Valley View Manor in Lamberton on March 29, 2003. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sanborn and enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, crafts, and making rugs from plastic bags. Loretta Bertha Kieper died Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton at the age of 95 years. She is survived by sons- Gerald Kieper of Sanborn, Gene Kieper of Stillwater, and Michael and wife Linda Kieper of Bingham Lake; daughter- Shirley Fennern of Bayport; daughter-in-law- Shari Kieper of Lamberton; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband- Rudolph 'Mike'; son- Richard; granddaughter- Michele Kieper; grandson- Mark Fennern; son-in-law- Ben Fennern; daughters-in-law- Barbara Kieper and Sharon Kieper; brother- E. Verden Haak; and sisters- Esther Wickman, Ruth Woods, Alma Ellefson, and Norma Ohlemann.
