Loreen Hagert

Loreen Evelyn Hagert was born March 19, 1918, the daughter of Albert and Lena (Schmidt) Bittner in Johnsonville Township. She graduated from Wabasso High School in 1937. Loreen married George Hagert on September 28, 1937. The first few years of married life, the couple lived in Marshall, MN and Springfield, MN. In 1956 they moved to Sanborn and for the last 7 years Loreen has resided at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye, MN. Loreen was active in her church and enjoyed working in the garden and cooking for her family. Loreen died on Sunday April 17, 2005 at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye, MN at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her children - Gary and wife Gail Hagert of Shakopee, MN, Janice and husband Ken Jensen of Anoka, MN and Judi and husband John Wendt of North Mankato, MN; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters - Caroline Otto and Hatti Hagert and a brother - Clarence Bittner. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband - George; a brother - Wilbur and a sister Lucille.
