Lonny Dean Broten was born on September 16, 1963 in Hayward, CA to Dianne Studer and Doug Broten. Lonny passed away peacefully on January 26th, 2019 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls surrounded by his family. He spent most of his life in Mountain Lake, MN. Lonny enjoyed outdoor activities including fishing, watching the weather, and feeding deer. Lonny had a love for his truck, Golden Retrievers (Rusty and Buddy), spending time with family, and enjoyed being with his grandchildren. He had a passion for Christmas and Diet Pepsi. Lonny is survived by his parents Doug (Janet) Broten and Dianne Studer; four sisters Cherie (Randy) Pierce, Connie Nelson, Charlene (Charles) Wolle, and Denise (Jason) Purrington; Dianna (LeeRoy) Callis, Cindy (Mike) Evers, Daniel Palm, and Michael Palm; Step Niece and Nephews; Half-Brothers Travis (Jolene) Studer and Troy Studer; Wife Lonna Broten; Children Tesa Heideman, Andrew Broten, Emily Schoenecker, and Kimberly Schoenecker; ten Grandchildren; many Nieces and Nephews along with Great Nieces and Nephews, along with many family and friends. Lonny is proceeded in death by his Brother Corey, four Grandparents (Hochstien/Broten), Step-Father Bob Studer, Step-Grandparents (Studers), and other family members.
