Lois Schewe

Lois Lavonne Schewe was born on March 27, 1932 in Sleepy Eye, MN, the daughter of Lester and Fredella (Sommerfeld) Berkner. She grew up and attended school in Sleepy Eye. Lois married Albert Schewe on October 4, 1950 at the EUB Parsonage in Sleepy Eye. After they were married they lived South of Sleepy Eye for a few years. They then moved North of Sleepy Eye and continued to farm until retiring in 1993. Mom loved to help Dad with the farm work. She also loved to garden, go shopping, eating out, cooking and baking. She was a member of New Hope Community Church where she was very involved. Lois is survived by her husband, Albert Schewe of Sleepy Eye, son, Michael (Jeanine) Schewe of Sleepy Eye, daughters, Bev (Brad) Rossing of Nicollet, MN, Barb (Pat) Doyle of Sleepy Eye, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister, Marlis Schmitz of Sleepy Eye and brother, Bob (Sharon) Berkner of Cambridge, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Bruce Schmitz.
