Lois Gentz

Lois Rowene Gentz was born on October 4, 1922 in Stately Township, the daughter of Henry and Jennie ( Landis) Veenstra. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1940 and attended Minneapolis School of Business. Lois was united in marriage to Victor Gentz on March 1, 1949 at the Mankato Methodist Church. She was involved with the 4-H, Cub Scouts, and an active member at the Springfield United Methodist Church. Lois enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, fishing, and spending time with her family. Lois died on January 2, 2011, at her home in Springfield, surrounded by her family, at the age of 88 years. She is survived by her husband - Victor of Springfield; children - Larry (Catherine) Gentz of Conifer, CO, Steve Gentz of Lindstrom, MN, Kay (Charles) Padilla of Rochester, MN, Mary (Craig) Lindemann of New Ulm, MN, and Vicki (Lance) Bolton of Hudson, WI; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers - Harold, Leland and Donald Veenstra.
