Lois Bloemke

Lois Vianna Jones was born December 19, 1931, at Redwood Falls, MN, the daughter of Harold Lillian (Hammond) Jones. Lois grew up in the Sleepy Eye area where she attended school through the eighth grade. She worked as a waitress before getting married. On September 2, 1952, she was united in marriage to Eugene Bloemke in Fairfax, MN. The couple made their home in Springfield until 1967 when they moved to New Ulm. In 1979 they moved to St. James and she has lived here since. Lois loved children, she did baby sitting out of her home for many years. Lois was a homemaker and mom, she loved to bake. She was known for her apple bars, chocolate chip cookies and Special K bars. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lois is survived by her children, Tom Lynda Bloemke of Anaheim, CA, Kathy Perry Kraus of St. James, Greg Brenda Bloemke of Castle Rock, CO, Mike Bloemke of St. James, Connie Reinke Randy Schmidt of Carlton, Patty Donald Rotert of St. James, grandchildren, Melissa, Melanie, Mandy, Marcy, Mackenzie, Jeremy, Holly, Danny, Seth, Blake and Heather, and many brothers and sisters. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and 5 brothers and sisters and several in-laws.
