Lois Jane Birkemeyer

Lois Jane Birkemeyer was born August 30, 1936, in Johnsonville Township, Redwood County, MN to Albert and Alice (Jenkins) Kosel. In her younger years she worked various jobs including a cleaning service that served area homes and businesses. Lois was united in marriage to Henry Birkemeyer on September 10, 1952, at St. John Lutheran Church in Springfield. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Evan and enjoyed gardening, flowers, making quilts, baking, and her rooster figurine collection. Lois Birkemeyer died Thursday, November 22, 2018, at the Mayo Hospital in Rochester at the age of 82 years. She is survived by her children - Donald of Shakopee, Linda of Las Vegas, and Jim (Bernadette) of Ada; grandchildren - Bianca Bautista of Las Vegas, Dorianne Bautista of Denver, Benjamin Birkemeyer of Bismarck, and Jacob, Lauren, and Elizabeth Birkemeyer, all of Ada; and sister Darlene Turbes.
