Lloyd Imker was born on May 2, 1919 in Redfield, SD, the son of Otto and Ruth (Fulkerson) Imker. He attended country school in Spink County, SD before moving to a farm south of Lamberton and graduated from Lamberton High School in 1937. Lloyd was united in marriage to Marjorie Hullopeter on October 15, 1942 at the United Methodist Church in Tracy, MN. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lamberton and served on several mission trips. Lloyd enjoyed fishing, watching the Minnesota Twins, bowling, traveling square dancing, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Lloyd died on Monday, July 4, 2011 at the Valley View Manor Care Center in Lamberton, MN at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his wife - Marjorie Imker of Lamberton; children - Robert Imker of Shakopee, MN, Jay (Linda) Imker of Lamberton, and Leanne (David) Homoky of Griffth, IN; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and brothers - Floyd (Marjorie) Imker of Lamberton, Lester (Norma) Imker of Tracy, MN, and Dwight (Alice) Imker of Chanhassen, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; son - Ronald Imker in infancy; a grandson - Benjamin Imker; a daughter-in-law - Joanne Imker; a sister - Lucille Coulter; and brothers - Lyle and Richard Imker.
