Llewellyn Anderson

Llewellyn Robert Anderson was born January 13, 1924 at Wadena, MN, to parents William and Margaret (Hatchard) Anderson. He grew up in Wadena where he attended school through the tenth grade. He worked as a hired hand on a number of farms before being drafted into the Army in 1943, where he served for three years. Lew traveled all over the world. When he returned to the states he sold auto parts until his retirement. While a resident at the nursing home in Zumbrota in 2006 he received an honorary diploma from the Zumbrota High School which fullfilled a regret he had during his life time. Llewellyn Anderson of St. James, formerly of Zumbrota, passed away on February 8, 2007 at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center in St. James. In keepping with his wishes no funeral services are being planned. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Deloris (Grev) Anderson, daughter Kari Anderson, brothers Evertt, Charles, William, Woodrow, sisters Dorothy (Anderson) Geber, Eunice (Anderson) Wilson, Margaret (Anderson) Ament, Beatrice (Anderson) Brunsell, sister-in-law Dorothy Grev, brothers-in-law Merlin and Sherwood Grev. He is survived by sons Chris Anderson and Peter Anderson, step-children Robert (Monica) Hector of St. James, Raymo (Joyce) Hector of St. James, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Hildegard Grev of Shakopee, Evelyn Anderson of Wadena, brother-in-law DeWayne Grev of Mt. Lake.
