Lindy was born on June 26, 1947, to Michael and Veronica (Forster) Goblirsch in Sleepy Eye, MN. Lindy grew up in rural Sleepy Eye and graduated from Sleepy Eye St. Mary's High School in 1965. On April 11, 1969, Lindy married Dick Schroepfer, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in love, faith, and family. Together they raised three children: April, Scott and Gina. They lived on the farm for many years and in 2023 moved into their current home in Sleepy Eye.
Over the years, Lindy worked in the Twin Cities as an administrative assistant, returned to Sleepy Eye to be with Dick and worked at Lindsay's Collection Agency, the farm, the Sanitary Dairy, and Norwood. But her favorite roles would be Mother and Grandmother.
Lindy loved spending as much time as possible with her grandkids - playing lots of games like Uno, having sleepovers, hanging out with them over extended visits, and attending all of their sporting events, often cheering the loudest. She enjoyed Friday Happy Hours at "the Club" with many friends and celebrating birthdays with a special group of ladies who all stayed friends since High School. She loved traveling, revisiting her favorite destination of all-time, Las Vegas, numerous times.
Lindy was blessed with 6 grandchildren whom she so loved and adored. Her kindness, humor (especially her dry wit right up until the end), and beautiful smile will be cherished and missed by all who knew her.
Lindy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dick; children, April (Paul Duwenhoegger), Scott (Melissa), and Gina; grandchildren, Sienna, Sawyer, Brady, Sasha, Alex and step grandchild Sophia. She is also survived by her siblings, Carol Cibuzar, Jerome "Jay" Goblirsch, Gary "Gus" Goblirsch (Judy), Charlene "Chuckie" Forster, Roger Goblirsch, Susie Kral (Ramy), and Mary Jo Hille (fiancé Greg Gardner) along with many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Lindy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joan Meyer; brothers, Jungi, Michael, and Steven Goblirsh; infant brothers, Joseph and Paul; mother and father-in-law, Tony and Brigitta Schroepfer.
