(So typical of Linda, she was prepared ahead of time. She wrote this obituary herself, including the quirky capitalization of her favorite things list. We only updated it to include very recent life events that occurred during the days before she went to meet Jesus.) Linda was born to Clifford and Elaine (Kuehn) Cummins on February 24, 1947 in Fergus Falls, Minnesta. She grew up in Wahpeton, North Dakota and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Breckenridge, MN. It was in that church when she was seven years old that she became a Christian. She graduated from Wahpeton High School in 1965. She attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and graduated in 1969 with a B.S. in Nutrition/Home Economics. She married Glen Letellier on July 18, 1969 and they spent the next four years in Dallas, Texas while Glen attended Dallas Theological Seminary. After graduation they moved to Sunshine Bible Academy near Miller, South Dakota where they lived for seven years. Glen was campus pastor and Bible teacher. Their first two children, Anita and Casey, were born during those years in South Dakota. They moved to Mountain Lake, MN in July of 1980. Their third child, Angela, was born ten days after they moved into their house on 10th Street, where they lived until her death. She loved her family. Grandchildren had a very special place in her heart. She liked sewing, reading, eating out with friends, emailing friends and family, walking, cooking, baking and Bible study. She liked birds, talking theology with Glen, Ronald Reagan, the U.S. Navy, poetry, summer, Studebakers, ice cream, road trips, carrot cake, books, surprises, Benedictions, Libraries, Baby Ruth candy bars, blizzards, Caffeine-free Diet Coke, manicures, Root Beer floats, peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches, black and white pictures, sheets dried on the clothesline outside, thrift stores, Veggie Tales, Christmas, pizza, sun shining through clean windows, laughing, and stories that end with ...and they lived happily ever after. She was preceded in death by her parents, an older brother Rick (Lori) Cummins of Fargo, ND, and an infant brother David. She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Glen, children, Anita (Eric) Schlabach of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Casey (Dorothy) of Siloam Springs, AR, and Angela (David) Salinas of Yorba Linda, California, one sister Susan (Bob) Lee of Burwell, Nebraska, and one brother, Dwight (Rebecca) Cummins of Stillwater, MN, ten grandchildren and other relatives.
