Lillie Erickson

Lillie Dora Louise Erickson was born April 26, 1907 in Dickinson County, near Terril, IA, the daughter of John and Ella (Kallsen) Buhr. When Lillie was in 8th grade, she moved to Terril, IA to live with her grandparents to attend Confirmation Class. On January 21, 1932 she married Alfred Erickson in Stately Township. She lived near Springfield for 3 years before moving to a farm north of Lamberton. The couple farmed near Lamberton until they retired in the 1965 and moved into Lamberton. She moved into the Valley View Apartments in 1997 and to Valley View Manor in May of 2002. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and morning coffee with friends. She was a long time member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton, the Ladies Aid at Our Savior's; garden club, and the Extension Group. Lillie died on Monday, April 10, 2006 at Valley View Manor Care Center in Lamberton at the age of 98 years. She is survived by her brother - Gilbert Buhr of Sioux Falls, SD; a sister-in-law - Margaret Erickson of Lamberton; many nieces and nephews and a special friend - Sharon Pankonin - Beyer of Sanborn. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband - Alfred in 1987; a brother - Harry Buhr and his wife - Edna; sisters - Emma Hohman and her husband - Art and Edna Wendt and her husband Marvin; and a sister-in-law - Phyllis Buhr.
