Lester Johnson

Lester M. Johnson ws born on November 24, 1929 in Prairieville Township, Brown County, MN the son of Rudolph Sarah Marie (Hanson) Johnson. He grew up in Prairieville Township, attending District #29 country school. Lester farmed on the family farm his entire life. He married Marian Wunsch on June 10, 1967 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple made their home on the farm until the present time. Lester was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. He enjoyed farming, fishing and playing cards. Lester especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Marian Johnson of Sleepy Eye, children, Lee (Judy) Johnson, Julie (Lane) Bode and Joleen (Craig) Dittbenner all of Sleepy Eye, nine grandchildren, Elizabeth, Katelyn, Ashley and Isaac Johnson, Brandon, Tyler and Camden Bode and Courtney and Brittney Dittbenner, sister Eleanor Buche of Sleepy Eye, sisters-in-law, Violet Johnson of Glencoe, Karen Wunsch of Paynesville and Rita (Dewey) Gaylord of Fairfax and brother-in-law, Jerry ( Marie) Wunsch of Sleepy Eye. He is also survived by numerous nices and nephews.
