Leonard Siekmann

Leonard Earl Siekmann, age 71, of St. James, died on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato. Leonard Earl Siekmann was born on October 25, 1938 in Willow Lake Township, Redwood County Minnesota. He was confirmed May 24, 1953 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Willow Lake Township. Lenny lived and worked various jobs in that area, then moved and worked in New Ulm for several years. After moving to St. James he was employed by Swift and then Westins until his retirement. Lenny loved to hunt, go to tractor pulls, mow lawn and spend time with friends. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in St. James where he volunteered to help with club events. Leonard is survived by his children Douglas Siekmann of St. Paul, Scott Fennern of Wabasso, Kara (Gohr) Barrera-Sanchez of Lakefield, sister Shirley (Atlen) Sova of St. Paul, aunts Doris Schramm of Redwood Falls, Lillie (Doug) Schroeder of North Mankato many cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends Tony DeAnn Lenz, Danielle, Darcie, Anthony, Megan and Lonnie Jay Stresemann, Alex, and Nolan and other friends who he was always willing to lend a helping hand to. He is preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
