Leonard Schultz

Leonard D. Schultz was born on April 16, 1927 in Mountain Lake, MN the son of David and Sarah (Flemming) Schultz. He attended country school through the 8th grade. In his later school years, he placed his faith in Jesus Christ as his savior at Summer VBS. Leonard went to 1 W Camp, PA. He worked at a nursing home in Allentown, PA as a janitor where he met his future wife Ruth, she worked in the kitchen. Leonard worked for Wennis Franz in 1955 helping with milking, he later worked for Ed Schroek doing tiling. He married Ruth Ensz on April 6th, 1956 they were blessed with three children. After 1W, he worked for Toro for 31 years. Leonard worked for RSVP as a volunteer for a couple of months taking people to the clinic and hospital. Leonard liked listening to records, especially German songs, traveling, taking summer trips to Nebraska and Kansas. One summer he spent time with Waldo Claassen in Topeka doing tornado cleanup. He was a member of the Cornerstone Bible Church in Mountain Lake. Survivors include his children, Joyce, Paul and Larry all of Mountain Lake, brother, Abe (Myrtle) Schultz of Mountain Lake and sister-in-law, Irene Schultz of Melrose. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ruth, siblings, David, Peter, John, Sarah (Henry) Ratzlaff, Mary, Elizabeth (Aron) Wall and Henry (Augusta) Schultz.
